Bishop Visitor's Center

Even on vacation you may have a few things to take care of, and even in a small town it can take a while to find the services you need. We’ve put together a handy list of businesses and services you may be looking for in Bishop, and how to get to them.

Visitors Center

image of the entrance to the Bishop Visitor CenterWe are located at the north end of Bishop City Park. We are packed to the ceiling with information, souvenirs, maps, and more! We’re here to help and we’d love to meet you. If there are any questions not clearly addressed below, come in and ask us in person at 690 N. Main Street. Or feel free to call (760) 873-8405.

Bishop City Park (and free WiFi)

Located centrally downtown on Main Street, the park is a popular attraction for community members and visitors alike. Enjoy free WiFi while relaxing under the shade trees and watching the ducks swim in the stream. Picnic tables and barbecues are available for family time. The rear pavilion allows picnicking in the shade while being close for the young ones to enjoy the playground. The sounds of Bishop Creek provide serenity as it flows along the length of the park. Seasonal pool, skateboard park and ball fields are also draws for visitors and community members alike. The park is located at 688 N. Main Street.

Bishop Dog Park

Adjacent to the Bishop City Park, the dog park is a safe place to run your dogs off-leash. Located at 218 E. Yaney Street, the park is fully fenced and includes grass, shade, water, and benches for getting off your feet while your dog(s) burn off some energy. The park is open one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset. Whether you are staying in Bishop, or passing through, this is an easy-to-find welcome pit stop for your canine companions.
