If big breakfasts aren’t your thing, these coffee shops and bakeries are here to boost your mood and get those adventure juices flowing. Get set to kickstart your day with these invigorating options.

Looney Bean

You’ll discover a range of delicious juices to ward off the cold or give your immunity a boost. A local’s favorite is the C.C.R., a concoction that can be enjoyed hot or cold. It boasts a mix of cayenne, turmeric, ginger, lemon, honey, and apple cider vinegar. >> ORDER ONLINE

For those eager to recreate it at home, here’s the recipe:

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar

Black Sheep Coffee

Filling town with the smell of coffee roasting, fresh, local, the coffee is divine, and their new menu offers more than just coffee. One of Bishop’s favorite Al Fresco spots for an early morning pick me up. Black Sheep Coffee Roasters offer a variety of drinks that come with organic milk, planet oat, and almond breeze barista series plant milks to fuel your adventures.

Pupfish Cafe

A hidden gem inside the Spellbinder bookstore. This quaint café serves up a variety of healthy breakfast options alongside their tasty coffee creations such as the Mediterranean Toast.

Great Basin Bakery

If you are a breakfast person and love freshly baked bread, a stop at Great Basin Bakery is in order. Grab a classic egg and cheese bagel to go or even a scrumptious Mt. Tom Sandwich on a baguette to savor later on the trail.

Erick Schat’s Bakkery

A favorite among both locals and visitors, this pastry shop and bakery is a must-visit when you’re in town. Featuring a vast selection crafted from turn-of-the-century recipes, all their bread is baked in stone hearth ovens with no preservatives. Remarkably, they produce six times more bread daily than the entire population of Bishop.
